    Summary

    The Kentucky 911 Services Board Grant provides funding to PSAPs for the establishment and improvement of E911 services in the Commonwealth, including the implementation of next generation 911 capacity and for incentives to create more efficient delivery of E911 services by local governments.

    Funding Categories include:

    • Geospatial mapping projects.
    • New or improved 911 PSAP support equipment.
    • Host/Remote projects.
    • Other projects that meet the spending criteria outlined in 202 KAR 6:090.

    Projects and applications should meet as many of the following project priorities as possible:

    • Compliance with NG911 Road Map, NG911 Mapping Guide and NG911 themes (Geospatial mapping, IP based technologies, networking, etc.)
    • Efficiency in cost and/or service delivery
    • Regional Impact/regionalization, multi-PSAP shared equipment cost-savings projects
    • The applicant demonstrates project sustainability

    Allowable costs are those directly attributable to delivery of 911 service and include:

    • Personnel costs
    • Facility
    • Training and memberships
    • Hardware, software, and peripheral equipment
    • Vehicle costs
    • Professional services
    • Public education

  • Eligibility Details

    Eligible applicants are Kentucky PSAPs.

    Deadline Details

    Applications are to be submitted by March 31, 2023. A similar deadline is anticipated annually.

    Award Details

    Cost sharing/matching is not required, but emphasis will be put on applicants willing to commit some local funding to the project (a minimum of 10% is recommended). Project period is from July 15, 2023 through January 31, 2025.
