    Summary

The mission of the Foundation is to enhance the lives of all residents of the Triangle now and for future generations by building philanthropic assets, connecting resources with needs, and providing leadership on key community issues and opportunities. Their impact areas include cultural arts, education and youth, nonprofit capacity building, and fostering sustainable communities.

The Foundation is made up of hundreds of philanthropic funds which are used in a variety of ways to provide support for nonprofit organizations and individuals. Grants from the Foundation are made through application based funding opportunities or at the request of a donor-advised fund holder through their fund.
