    Summary

The Target Foundation focuses the majority of it's grant-making efforts on the following program areas: The Arts and Social Services.
    • Arts Grants: Arts grants are awarded to programs and organizations that provide accessible and affordable arts and cultural experiences to the Twin Cities community.
    • Social Services Grants: Social Services grants are awarded to programs and organizations that directly provide food and shelter to the Twin Cities community or local at-risk families.
Target Foundation grants are intended for general operations associated with programs that provide support for immediate needs.

    Minnesota Cultural Data Project
Target is part of the Minnesota Cultural Data Project (Minnesota CDP). This statewide collaborative effort of public and private funders employs an online system for collecting and standardizing historical financial and organizational data. The Foundation, along with other funders in Minnesota, require that Target Foundation arts grant applicants complete a data profile annually through the Minnesota CDP website link opens in a new window. Before applying for a Target Foundation arts grant, applicants must register on the Minnesota CDP website. Applicants will then use the information entered into the Data Profile in their application to Target, as well as other participating funders statewide.
