Summary
The Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management Division (HSEMD) is seeking applications for viable and eligible HSGP projects that could be quickly implemented to exhaust any remaining HSGP grant. Only projects related to homeland security with a nexus to terrorism will be funded.
In FY2018, HSEMD determined gaps identified below shall be Iowas priority for funding:
Cybersecurity
Operational Coordination
Planning
Mass Care Services
Operational Communication
Public Information and Warning
Intelligence & Information Sharing
Risk Management for Protection Programs & Activities
Community Resilience
Threats & Hazard Identification

Eligible applicants include: Iowa state government agencies; county, city, municipal, and tribal governments; school districts; councils of government and tribal councils; institutions of higher education; nonprofit organizations including hospitals.
